Ex Novo Libris 2: Part V: the end [02 Feb 2011|05:21pm]

greatfire
[ mood | accomplished ]

This has certainly taken me awhile ...

FURRIES.

"JAPANESE INFLUENCE".

INFANTILE MEL BROOKSISHNESS.

ABUSE and SELF-ABUSE.

You get it all when you drink from the frothy head of identity crises that is the soul of Ex Novo Libris.

Please, my friend, I invite you, to read the last installment in the 10-year-running comic series - at your personal leisure - and then take a long, hot shower.

I finished another one! Man I am just a comics machine lately. And it's good. And engaging. This one is about the end of the world, so if you haven't read any of the previous issues you may want to, to fully enjoy the horror. And epic ridonkulousness.

Ex Novo Libris Part 10

Click to read all 49 pages now.

I work hard to make an engaging world that rewards the reader's exploration. And it's free, so ... yeah. Take a load off. Enjoy Earth's destruction. (Yeah, cross posted like a MF.)

We want your unwanted mini-comics! [15 Jan 2010|06:43pm]

rickbradford
The Poopsheet Foundation is very interested in buying your unwanted mini-comics, fanzines, etc.

WE PAY CASH for:

• mini-comics of all sorts, particularly collections or large lots
• fanzines of all sorts (especially comics fanzines but we're open to other types)
• convention programs (especially pre-1990 but others are considered)
• APAs (comics, science fiction, horror, etc.)
• mini-comics & fanzine research/documentation (published or unpublished)
• non-US mini-comics, fanzines, graphzines, etc.
• original Morty Comix by Steve Willis
• other original artwork
• and related items!

Consignment sales may also be an option.

Please note: For these purposes "mini-comic" means low-frills small press comics usually self-published in runs of 100-200. This movement began with "newave comix" in the '70s. What we're not talking about is smaller-than-normal comic books published by mainstream companies or other corporations. We're also (generally speaking) not talking about ashcans.

For more info please e-mail Rick Bradford at ricko@poopsheetfoundation.com.

Just so you recall, this is a continuation of part 1 (of book 2)

and the entire Book 1 can still be read here:

Try not to use Internet Explorer. Microsoft has something major against using tables as buttons - a "trick" that other browsers seem to be fine with.

THIS BOOK IS ADULT (I even waited to be age 18 before starting it. hahaha)

Weird Little Comics For Sale [30 Aug 2009|07:34pm]

amara_anon
This community is perfect for me--I've been going through my comic book collection to sell, and I found a bunch of weird little independent titles.

Oni Press comics for sale here - Includes Blue Monday, Hopeless Savages, Jingle Belle, Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob, and more.

Other independent titles for sale here - Simpsons, Futurama, TMNT, and really independent stuff you never hear of

I will be listing Buffy and Angel comics soon. I'm also selling lots of mainstream comics as well.

Prices - Most comics are priced under 1 dollar. Many comics have no price listed and are open to offers.

Shipping costs - I only charge what the post office charges me, no handling fees.

Thanks for looking!

Man! It's been forever since I've posted here! Plenty of new comics have gone up since then, but specifically over the last few weeks, including some for the new strip "Peas."

Today is official "relaunch day". So I thought it would be an appropriate day to make a post here, and maybe try and garner some interest in my strips. I've been working on revamping the site and there is now a "Peas" section, as well as an overall site redesign to make it a little sleeker and simpler, and I did new drawings for all the different pages (like "contact", "about", etc) and the Cyrius section has been redesigned as well!

Here's todays comic:

The RSS feeds are up and working again too.

All the comics now go through the main page: http://www.scritchscratch.com

And of course each of the comics still has it's own individual pages....

CYRIUS THE CYCLOCTOPUS: http://www.scritchscratch.com/cyrius
PEAS: http://www.scritchscratch.com/peas
SCRATCH COMICS: http://www.scritchscratch.com/scratch

Darling I'm Dying [17 May 2009|09:12pm]

jimsin

Just found this community and thought I'd post a link to my webcomic darlingimdying.

I've never been sure how to describe it, but a 'weird little comic' might be as good a description as any.

I've been working hard to move it forwards this year, but the updates take me much longer than I'm sure they ought to, so it's still slow progress.

Knowing people are reading is a great motivator though, so if you'd consider LJ Friending it, then I'd be extremely happy to know it was being followed by somebody.
